The end of my searching Journey

Have you ever wanted something so bad that you would go so far to get it. I'm definitely not talking about girls here.. I'm talking about passion here. PASSION FOR SHOES!! :))
Well I have been searching for a shoe for quite sometime.. it was released back in 2007 for a limited pairs. Well i was kinda unlucky as financially i am not that secured back then ( as if i am so secured now :S )

Lets talk about this shoe in particular. It's called Rakugaki from Asics Onitsuka Tiger. I am so into this particular brand because for me it is like the casual version of clarks. and I would go for design that wont be available in uptown or worn by those Remps ( Rempit sounds abit ugly )
Well here's a description from a review from one of famous shoe website on the net

Onitsuka Tiger by Asics have given some of their classic models a Rakugaki treatment. Rakugaki, a Japanese term, roughly translates to “doodle” and after taking one look at these models, it will be easy to know why that the name was chosen. The Mexico ’66 and the Samatore features high quality leather uppers with a graph paper like print. No information is presently known about the release.

About the journey itself. It started in 2007 but back then i know that owning this shoe that very moment would be impossible and as the year passes on.. as you know for the limited shoe wont add up in the market so the quantity become lesser and lesser. Earlier this year in 2010 i browsed through a lot of online forum, ebay, mudah, lowyat forum and not a single person who owns this shoe wanted to sell them for some obvious reason.

There's actually a shoe available in eBay international but it costs 299usd. Well you do the math if its not even inclusive of the shipping costs. The shoe location is in New York and you can expect another at least RM200 for the international shipping. Bearing in mind the risk of losing the shoe on the way to Malaysia.

Then today 20th July 2010. I saw someone asking about anyone selling rakugaki ( i gave up asking long time ago ) and there is this one guy stated that he actually owns one and wanted to sell because its small for him. It was 8US 7UK in size. To be honest i am wearing a size bigger but what the heck, i PM the guy and asked him about the price and i would do immediate COD at his place just for the sake of this shoe and the rest is history.

The end of the Hectic Posting

well as of yesterday, im officially done with all the classes in OnG posting.i felt like ive been doing this ong thingy for few months already. Back to back class in the morning and evening up til 6pm in the evening. not enough of the freaking tight schedule, they add bitchy clerk working in the office to deal with student. what a pain in the ass...

but anyway after the exam today 2pm im done!!
btw to wait for the new iphone4. i bought myself bb bold as a tempo phone and subscribe to celcom prepaid bis for RM1 per day. Not bad at all! as i have plenty of credits to spare. haha

When Songs Change You

Yesterday was the season finale for Glee Season 1. It was emotional and breath-taking and i cant help but to write about it here despite of having a written exam tomorrow for my orthopedics posting. They performed the best medley i ever heard in my life.
They call it the Journey Medley. Journey is an American rock band formed in 1973 in San Francisco, California, with former members of Santana. The band has gone through several phases, but its strongest commercial success came in the late 1970s to the early 1980s. Despite of having the lead singer replaced in 1990s they still are the unfathomable wonders in music.

Well the other day i went to buy a baked lamb for mama from San Francisco Pizza and heard this song, tagged it using Shazam and it showed Charice - Pyramid. So i googled it up and listened to it in youtube. Such a great voice from this petite young girl.

The original version of this song featured in Mariah Carey's album entitled "Memoirs of an imperfect Angel" was without a doubt one of the most brilliant song, sung by her. Well a friend of mine recommended a remix version featuring Neyo. It was a love at the first sight!

Walimatul Urus

Saya baru pulang dari majlis perkahwinan kawan sekelas saya hari ini, pejam celik pejam celik, tahu menahu si dia ini sudah berumah tangga dan mempunyai tanggungjawab yang belum lagi dirasai oleh ramai rakan sebaya dengan dia. tahniah zaki zainal @ jang@ niger @ jenal (opps) @ zaki. semoga kekal ke akhir hayat dan menjadi suami yang baik dan bertanggungjawab (haha dats all for the attempt to write in malay)

Anyway i went to UIA and reached there around 6pm. It was my first time being there. to be honest, i would say the environments are way better compared to UM. Went for a little sight seeing with the car, the air was quite cool and definitely a good place to study. The buildings are definitely a better eye candy. Joie de vivre

I waited for Uya and topek to arrive. They reached around 6.50pm. Managed to do some readings. (what has gotten into me.. reading?? like seriously?) Then had my maghrib prayer there and finally disembarked together with with the rest to Kampung Perkahwinan (i guess that is what the place is called) in Wangsa Maju. It was raining, all the boys were in their full baju melayu, but since i couldnt manage to get my hand on mine, i settled with something casual. luckily didnt overdress (rite uya? otherwise mati curi limelight hahaha)

The food was great, black pepper chicken, the beef and the fish fillet was awesome. Then we all were amazed that in the middle of the event they served roasted lamb. golek2 lagi tu. and served together with Caesar salad and potato salad. Took some pictures.
